Peter Earle has been working with LEDs for almost fifteen years. He became involved with LED lighting technology because he thought ‘it was cool that an LED can be a device on a network’. Peter has a background in creative technologies so is used to and well suited to the disruptive effect digital systems are having on the lighting industry. He loves good design, especially when applied to lighting fixtures and lighting schemes.
After founding and running his own successful LED lighting business in the early 2000s, he merged this with an American lamp and fixture manufacturer. He set up the European division and became a director of the new company.
Since 2011 Peter has worked for Philips Lighting OEM in the UK, spreading the word about Philips’ innovative light source technologies.
Peter is a published author and regularly contributes in the lighting industry press. He is often asked to speak at industry events and is a CIBSE Member of The Society of Light and Lighting and a sits on the Technical Committee for ICEL, the Industry Committee for Emergency Lighting, part of the Lighting Industry Association.
