The street lights that monitor air quality and footfall
11 Nov 2020
A set of LED streets in rural Lincolnshire is monitoring air quality and footfall, as well as collecting data on their surroundings and streaming it in real time to a control dashboard via the cloud, allowing the local council to make informed decisions. They are loaded with smart technology, offering sensor control and dimming, with some of the lights also providing air quality and video monitoring. Scottish technology company arbnco is installing the lighting in partnership with South Kesteven District Council as part of programme run by Digital Catapult.
