1. Bluetooth Mesh
Bluetooth Mesh can turn lighting into a digital backbone - an ‘Internet of Things’ platform for new services and tasks. As it’s a mesh topology, enabled luminaires relay messages from device to device at the speed of sound. As well as covering large buildings, the technology could cover collections of buildings such as university campuses. There’s no central point to fail, and robust ‘multi-casting’ of the ultra short messages with a fast data transfer rate means high reliability.
2. LumiCloud Digital
TLS is showcasing LumiCloud Digital, a unique, modular platform for dynamic LED lighting that’s designed to be fast to install and easy to control. The addressable LED array sits beneath a diffusing stretch-PVC material and is customisable to practically any size, from a daylight-mimicking artificial skylight for a hotel to a dramatic colour-changing light-art feature for a retail store. It also offers a unique protocol that allows individual RGB pixel control for a large-scale LED matrix.
3. TrustSight LED Emergency Gen 3
TrustSight is a comprehensive emergency lighting platform for OEMs, which turns luminaires into sophisticated emergency fittings. It has a fast switchover to emergency mode in case of a mains failure, integrated automatic self-testing and a slim profile height of just 21mm. It also has a battery auto-detect function which offers OEMs flexibility without having to add the usual complexity to their supply chains. TrustSight is compatible with both Lithium and NiMH batteries.

Enhanced functionality is available via a software upgrade to LightView PLUS.
6. Hikari SQ
At just 3.2mm, Hikari SQ is an ultra-thin form of edge-lighting technology. It uses a light guide plate and a unique combination of optical films to maximise light output and uniformity as well as controlling the beam angle. It outperforms existing ultra-thin technology in every metric, including light output, efficacy, lifetime, beam control, uniformity, colour stability, thermal management, bezel width, thickness and module robustness, while ensuring wide compatibility with existing LED drivers.
Mymesh is a unique network protocol which connects, manages and controls thousands of light fittings and other devices such as sensors simultaneously. Mymesh is open to any OEM developer to improve their products or add them to the Mymesh eco-system. Mymesh comes in the form of a small device such as a controller or driver that directly connects to a LED light. Once the device has power, it automatically joins its neighbours in a reliable, robust and scalable Mesh network.
8. IoT Platform
Enlighted’s platform transforms lighting into a building’s IoT network. Lights are ideal carriers for IoT sensors, providing position, power and density for granular data capture. Its sensors intelligently control the lights, and collect multiple data streams 65 times per second. Each sensor communicates wirelessly to a network, and data is stored and analysed in the cloud. It makes each light individually intelligent and produces energy savings that can pay for the whole installation.

Thorlux Lighting’s Flex System is a radical alternative to the industry-standard grid of modular LED panels in a suspended ceiling. It takes the lighting outside of the ceiling tile aperture and offers freedom and flexibility in the scheme design. The company says this approach makes it possible to light spaces with fewer luminaires than a conventional modular scheme, leading to significant savings. It consists of linear low-glare LED luminaires clustered around a composite picture window.

Every luminaire or sensor is a source that delivers lighting system status info, such as energy usage and motion sensor information. This data is stored in the cloud can be analysed for actionable insights.
