Chris joined BAFE in May 2016 as Schemes Support Manager and then taking on the full responsibility of Schemes Management in October 2016. Chris is an Incorporated Engineer and has spent most of his working life in the TIC (Testing, Inspection and Certification) arena. Chris spent his early working years as an engineer working in the family business before eventually taking over the day to day running of the operation. His more recent experience having worked for UKAS as an Assessment Manager assessing organisations to the requirements of BS/ISO Standards including BS EN ISO 17020/17021/17065. Immediately prior to joining BAFE he worked as the senior Accreditation Manager for Bureau Veritas UK where he was instrumental in developing andimplementing an integrated management system incorporating the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001/14001/17020.
Since joining BAFE Chris has developed his knowledge of the fire industry and presented at a number of trade association and Certification Body meetings promoting the BAFE brand and values. His key role now in addition to daily management of all BAFE Schemes, is to build relations with key stakeholders and develop new Schemes for the industry and support the BAFE CEO and Board in helping to improve overall fire industry working practice and competency
