Research lead, Movement Strategies
I have worked in evacuation/pedestrian dynamics for 20+ years, adopting academic/consultant/government roles in the UK/US/Canada. I am also an Adjunct Professor at Univ.Maryland(US) and Univ.Waterloo(Canada). I have examined issues concerning pedestrian safety, security, and circulation for design, regulatory development, and incident investigation across domains (e.g. aviation/maritime), and scales (e.g. urban-scale).
